Hot Selling CAS 7778-54-3 Calcium Hypochlorite Powder 70% Calcium Hypochlorite
Calcium hypochlorite, commonly known as bleaching powder or bleach, is commonly used in the bleaching
process of chemical production. It plays an important role in industrial production due to its rapid onset and outstanding bleaching effect. Its main component is calcium hypochlorite. Depending on the production process, it also contains ingredients such as calcium chloride, sodium chloride, and calcium hydroxide, with an effective chlorine content greater than 60%. Flour bleach has strong sterilization, disinfection, purification, and bleaching effects, and is widely used in industries such as wool washing, textiles, carpets, and papermaking. However, due to its strong oxidizing agent, it poses great harm to humans. When using it, one should also pay attention to self-protection to avoid corrosion.
The Nature of the Calcium Hypochlorite
Calcium hypochlorite appears as a white granular solid with a strong irritating chlorine odor. The main ingredient is calcium hypochlorite. It contains a small amount of calcium chloride and calcium hydroxide. Its effective chlorine content is above 60% to 70%. Easy to dissolve in water, releases a large amount of heat and primary oxygen when in contact with water. Heating rapidly decomposes and causes explosions and acid reactions, which can release chlorine gas. Reacting with organic matter and oil can cause combustion. When exposed to light, it is prone to decomposition and explosion, producing oxygen and chlorine gas. Due to the low content of calcium chloride and water, its stability is higher than that of bleach powder, and it does not decompose when stored at room temperature for more than 200 days. After one year of storage, the effective chlorine content decreased by 6.6%, and after three years, it decreased by 14%.

Application of Calcium Hypochlorite
1.Industrial sewage treatment:
Industrial sewage treatment for cyanide containing wastewater from gold mines, treatment of cyanide containing wastewater from chemical production, and treatment of circulating water. Directly add this product to the wastewater, stir evenly, wait for sufficient reaction, analyze and meet the standards before discharge.
2.Swimming pool disinfection:
This product can be directly sprinkled evenly into the pool, ensuring that the remaining chlorine (50-100 mg/L) is controlled within 0.4-0.0 during operation Between mg/L.
3.Barns disinfection:
It has a bactericidal and disinfecting effect, disinfecting feces, phlegm, and spraying bathrooms and toilets to achieve disinfection.
4.Intermediates in industrial manufacturing:Used for the purification of Yikuai and the manufacturing of organic compounds.
5.Fabric bleaching:
Calcium hypochlorite has an efficient bleaching effect and is widely used in walnuts, bamboo products, and grass products Bleaching of rattan products, etc.
Storage and transportation requirements
Calcium hypochlorite is a first-class inorganic oxidant. Hazard code 21023. Use inner village polyethylene film bags and outer packaging in plastic drums with a wall thickness of 0.5mm, with a tight seal. Each barrel has a net weight of 50kg. Store in a cool, ventilated, and dry warehouse. Cannot be stored or transported together with organic matter, acids, oils, and reducing agents. Stay away from heat sources and sparks, and prevent rain and sunlight exposure during transportation. Handle with care during loading and unloading to avoid collision and rolling.
